Director Oh Sang-moo is a member of the executive board of a large cosmetics corporation. He has been taking care of his tumor-sick and bed-ridden wife (KIM Ho-jong) for 2 years. He starts falling for CHU Eun-ju (KIM Gyu-ri), a younger female co-worker, junior staff, who captured his heart, and embarks on an affair with her. The middle aged man is now in agony, torn between his ailing, dying wife and the mistress he loves. IM Kwon-taek’s 102nd film and his first work since 2011’s "Hanji", "Revivre" is based on Kim Hoon's 2004 short novel which won Grand Prize at the Lee Sang Literature Awards. In a method of introspection which is his specialty, the director portrays profound subjects such as creation and ageing, as well as life and death. Note: actress Kim Ho-jeong shaved her head and lost a lot of weight to express the suffering of a tumor patient.
